Baku

Situated spectacularly along the coast, Baku is the capital city of Azerbaijan. From the old walled city to towering skyscrapers, the city offers a perfect blend of old and new.

Absheron National Park

Not far from the capital, Absheron National Park is the perfect place to come to witness the stunning flora and fauna of Azerbaijan. It is home to whole host of local wildlife such as gazelles, birds, jackals, badgers and seals. The National Park is also famous for its romantic rolling sand dunes and crystal-clear waters vibrant with wildlife.

Garasu Volcano

Azerbaijan has the highest number of mud volcanoes in the world, at nearly 350. The most famous among them is the Garasu Volcano, that has been known to erupt over 1,000 meters into the air. The constant volcanic activities have rendered the landscape to be reminiscent of the surface of the moon.

Naftalan Oil Resort

The region is famous for the Naftalan crude oil found that is said to have healing properties, attracting thousands of tourists every year. Visitors come here to bathe in the oil or to undergo a range of oil based treatments that are said to help with pain relief and anti-inflammatory healing. The Caspian Sea
